A 1kg bag of wool from our flock of mixed commercial sheep.
These are raw, unwashed fleeces and may contain some straw or other vegetational matter (all good for the garden!)
What’s wool good for?
- Lining hanging baskets
- Mixing with compost or using as a mulch – sheep’s wool provides a slow release of nitrogen, as well as increasing water retention, making it a great sustainable alternative to peat!
- Suppressing weeds around trees and in the garden whilst also retaining moisture, insulating and feeding the plants as it breaks down
- It’s been shown to provide protection to plants from slugs and snails! A great alternative to slug pellets
- Spinning, felting and other craft projects
- Insulation
Price includes postage within the UK.
